Yaupon is an 18 hole fun and challenging golf course. The first hole sets the momentum for your experience on Yaupon – it is a dogleg right up a steep hill leading into a blind dogleg left followed by an extremely narrow approach to the green. Now that’s a blast! Each hole offers great challenges with blind shots, several elevation changes and more doglegs! It has fantastic panoramic views of the Texas Hill Country. The course wanders through some gorgeous Lakeway homes. Club selection and course management are a must with all the trees on the sides of the course and some strategically placed in the middle of the course.
Live Oak golf course was Lakeway’s original golf course. It was constructed in 1967 and is a fun and challenging course that requires exceptional course management and club selection. The course is surrounded by homes and Live Oak trees. Most of the holes have doglegs where you can’t see the pin from the tee box and are very narrow. There are only three bunkers and they are located on the 18th hole. So if you hate sand traps-this course is for you! Water hazards come into play on seven holes.
The Hills of Lakeway offers it”s members two clubs: The Hills golf course was the first course built and it was designed by Jack Nicklaus. Flintrock Falls golf course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus II. They also feature the world reknowned Academy of Golf. It has a 500 yard learning center with target greens and three championship golf holes. It is ranked as the #1 training and practice center in the country by Tom Kite. There is not another private club in Central Texas that offers Members this incredible caliber of 18 hole golf courses!
Falconhead Golf Club is also located in Lakeway and is it”s newest addition. It completely exploits the gorgeous Hill Country landscape of the area! A unique aspect of Falconhead Golf Club is that it was designed by PGA Tour Design architects so you know every part of the course measures up to the standards of the PGA. It will offer you a truly professional experience! It was built in 2003 and is a public daily fee golf course that offers a truly pro-style experience! It offers five sets of tee boxes to insure a different experience each time you go. The flavor of the Hill Country is definetly here!
